2043 Mar Azul is a wonderful home on a cul-de-sac in the upscale La Costa neighborhood near the La Costa Resort and Spa.

It is not unusual for buyers in the Carlsbad real estate market to want a single story home, either by preference or need. Yet finding a single story home can be a challenge since new home subdivisions often only have a small number of single story homes.

This home has NO STEPS at the entry into the courtyard or into the house. There is a step down into the family room at the back of the house, and two small steps from the kitchen out to the back yard and patio area. Single story living is yours in this La Costa home.

One advantage this home offers to someone who needs to use a wheel chair is that there are only a couple small steps and these can easily be ramped. In addition, much of the flooring is hard scape (tile, hard wood) and the hallways and some door ways are fairly wide. Making the entire home wheelchair accessible does not appear to be a difficult or expensive task. There are shower areas that would need retrofitting but with the wide doorways would appear to offer the opportunity for a wheelchair-accessible shower .
